I picked up the first of this series when my local bookstore and job was closing down I was drawn to the cover art not necessarily the story at first but after reading Trolls in the Hamptons i was hooked Each book has been a delight to read and look forward to Celia has not once in my opinion killed any of her books Each has been uniue and interesting drawing the person further and further into Willows crazy world Her family is like many out there with the weird connections and obvious inner family problems And Willow has struggled just as much as any person i think would after being thrown into the problems presented in each bookFor Sand witches in the Hamptons one thing i was skeptical of was the continuing love between Willow and Matt Willow was never a settling character she never stuck to one thing even when it came to writing her own books so i expected a lot of drama in this addition to the series I was happily disappointed Celia made the issues between them realistic and well normal for a urban fantasy book It was a great balance with all the other chaos Willow was going through with the introduction of Matts ex wife a stalker and a new sister thrown into the bunch very early on Not to mention the towns utter belief that Willow was not only the cause of their problems but also the answer to fixing them Paumanok Harbor came to life in this book a bit then it did in others Again this was a pleasant addition because it pulled in the possibility of Willow actually staying in the Harbor rather than going back to her little apartment While Willow overlooked a lot of what the town was doing for her during the times she had to deal with her stalker it seemed that the town became active even if they were only protecting her because they felt she was their only option Small descriptions and side stories started opening up the town for the reader to learn to love its citizens and allowed the reader to see the other side of some characters All and all it kept my attention and made me wish the next book was coming out now
